Valerie MacLean: Executive Director of BC Crime Prevention Association
A native of Vancouver, Valerie MacLean received her Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University. Her background is in law enforcement, as a former member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and as a fraud investigator for two Ministries of the Provincial Government.
Most recently, Valerie served as the Vice-President of Consumer Affairs for the Better Business Bureau of Mainland BC, and in this capacity managed the Consumer Affairs department, acted as the spokesperson for the Better Business Bureau for all media and public speaking engagements, was the official liaison with law enforcement agencies, and conducted all the fraud investigations at the Bureau.
Currently, Valerie continues to educate the public about fraud awareness and preventin as the Executive Director of BC Crime Prevention Association.
